NATIONAL CENTRE OF PUBLIC HEALTH (NCPH) is a leading institution of the healthcare system in the country, founded in 1995, with the capacity and means to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the country. NCPH activities are oriented towards: development, monitoring and implementiation of policies and programs in the field of public healthcare; initiation and support of research, innovation and technology transfer in the field of public health; repidemiological surveillance and evaluation of population health; monitoring health indicators using population studies; evaluation studies of risk factors; hygienic and epidemiologic expertise; development and implementation of effective methods of surveillance; prevention of disease and protection of public health, including promotion of healthy lifestyles and health education; development and implementation of measures for the prevention, reduction and elimination of emergency situations in public health; development and implementation of technologies and informational systems for purposes of effective management of public health.
